There was a documentary on BBC last week about diabetes which was really sad to watch. People ended up loosing limbs and were still getting the same old advice – eat less, exercise more. That is not so easy when your cells are starving and the glucose you get from the carbs you eat can’t get to them. Incorporating more healthy fats whilst cutting down on carbohydrates is often the key to weight loss, especially with insulin resistance because fat doesn’t stimulate insulin at all.
